How’s your 2017 so far? I know we are just getting started but so far so good here. Although I’m not a new year resolution sort of person I still see it as a time for fresh starts. A chance to but any bad stuff behind me and focus on the future and making it good. So it seemed timely when a box showed up on my doorstep the other day filled with some new and delicious products from Kellogg Canada. It seemed like the perfect way to ring in the new year. I’m excited to not only tell you what’s new from Kellogg Canada but also to offer you the chance to win a prize pack to try all of the products out for yourself!
What’s new from Kellogg Canada
Obviously the Special K name is not new to you, but there are a few new products that have been added to the Special K line up.
First up are the two new flavours in the Special K Nourish line:
- Coconut Cashew & Dark Chocolate
- Caramel Sea Salt & Mixed Nuts
These yummy bars are made with no artificial flavours or colors and are packed full of nutritious ingredients like quinoa and oats. And if you need to avoid gluten these are perfect for you as they are gluten free as well.
A couple more additions to the Special K Nourish mix are these two popped granolas:
- Mixed Berries
- Dark Chocolate Coconut
The Special K Nourish popped granolas are an excellent source of fibre and they are so versatile. You can eat them straight up as a snack, with milk like cereal, throw them in your yogurt – however you please.
Ok I’m going to be perfectly honest with you and say that All-Bran, the traditional buds or flakes, have never been my favourite cereal. I mean you can’t like everything right? But this is not your grandfather’s All-Bran. The new All-Bran Multi Grain Crunch (with a hint of maple flavour) is a totally new take on All-Bran. These crunchy little rings and hearts (how cute is that) are a bran cereal that I honestly like. They have just a touch of sweetness, a good crunch and they taste great. The other new product is the All-Bran Cranberry Almond Granola. It’s full of raisins, cranberries and almonds with no artificial flavours or colours. Like you’ve come to expect with All-Bran these products are fibre rich, something many of us don’t get nearly enough of in our diets.
This is actually the product that I am most excited about. I love Vector protein bars and I am thrilled that they have added a new flavour to the mix! Breakfast for me is almost always on the go or at my desk so protein bars are my breakfast of choice and Vector Bars are always on my shopping list. The new variety, Trail Mix is a yummy combination of cranberries, sunflower seeds, flax seeds and peanuts. They are full of protein, 10 grams per bar, and quite low in sugar with only 9 grams per bar.
I know we’ve talked a lot about fibre and protein and all those healthy ingredients but everyone deserves a treat here and there right? How about a pringle? Or two or three or… Just in time for Canada’s 150th birthday – Pringles Ketchup Chips have arrived! And they are as delicious as you think they are.
