Celebrate Earth Day with Live Clean {giveaway}

These days when you turn on the news or spend any time on social media there’s a good chance you are going to come across some kind of story, article, study or demonstration that relates to the state of our environment. It’s a hot topic. As well it should be. Our impact on our planet, although not precisely known, is real and it’s something we need to not just think about but also do something about. Sometimes that can feel like a daunting task can’t it? It feels like we need big change to make an impact. And maybe we do. But if each and every one of us took some steps, our little changes can add up. We need to try and not get overwhelmed with the enormity of it all and do the things we can to make a difference. And there are so many things we can do. The three R’s are a great place to start – Reduce, Reuse, Recycle. These are things we can all do and honestly they don’t even require that much effort. We can reduce by taking our reusable grocery bags shopping, by getting our water from the tap instead of plastic bottles, by looking for products that use less packaging. We can reuse by both donating and buying used clothing and other items, by borrowing or renting items we are probably only going to use once. And recycling, well that doesn’t really require much of an explanation, know what you can recycle and then do it!

In the next week or so you are going to be hearing even more about the environment because Earth Day is just around the corner on April 22. With this important day coming up I’m pleased to talk to you about some new products from Live Clean. Now if you are already familiar with Live Clean you probably know that they have always cared about our environment. In fact that’s what they are all about – bringing you earth friendly products that not just work but that you love. Every Live Clean product delivers exceptional results using plant and natural based ingredients. We’ve been using Live Clean products for a while now in our home and we really do love them. It’s not surprising, with a kid at home, that the product we go through the most is hand soap. And since both my daughter and I have really sensitive skin Live Clean hand soaps are one of our favourites. They are easy on our hands, smell amazing (without being overwhelming) and they work. I also love that they are made in Canada.

The Live Clean story…

Live Clean, created and manufactured in Canada, has led the way in eco-friendly beauty and personal care products for 10 years. With our state-of-the-art formulations – highly effective, a pleasure to use and kind to the earth – Live Clean took earth sustaining products out of the health food stores and into the drug and grocery stores where Canadians shop.

Formulated without many of the commonly used chemicals that are damaging to the environment and, some believe, our well-being, Live Clean’s formulations are free of Sodium Lauryl Sulfate (SLS), a common chemical surfactant used in most shampoos, as well as Diethanolamine (DEA), a common ingredient used for rich lather and viscosity building. Live Clean is also free of parabens and other harsh preservatives.

Live Clean is completely vegan with no animal products or animal by-products used in the formulations. The collection is also cruelty-free; none of the products or their ingredients have been tested on animals. In its sensitivity to the environment, Live Clean is also free of phosphates, known contributors to water pollution.

I was really, really pleased to hear that Live Clean is now offering their amazing hand soaps in 1 litre refill bottles! I buy big whenever I can to try and reduce waste so this makes me happy. We also use motion sensor soap dispensers at home so being able to buy our favourite soap in 1 litre bottles is great.
