Molly and I first featured Gel-a-Peel on the blog last fall. Since then we’ve had a lot of fun making bracelets, necklaces and even an iPhone case! One of the things we really love about Gel-a-Peel is that, even though it comes with some fun templates, you really can let your creative side run wild and make whatever creation you can think of. How does it work? The idea is really pretty simple – trace designs (or just wing it) with colorful tubes of gel, let them dry and then peel them off and show them off!
I mentioned in our first post about Gel-a-Peel that at first glance I thought it was going to be another messy craft kit, but in reality it’s actually not very messy at all, and clean up is a breeze.
This is the Pearly Pastel Kit. It comes with 16 design templates, a gel tray, 3 pretty pastel gels, a drawing sheet, 5 designer tips, cleaning tool and accessories to make earrings.
The Glow in the Dark Kit is similar to the Pastel Kit except that this kits comes with three glow in the dark gel tubes.
And finally we have the Sparkle Bead Station. This kit is really cool! It comes with three sparkle gel colours and a bead station so you can make actually beads to string (it comes with 3 metres of string).
One of the things we love about Gel-a-Peel is that you can mix and match the templates, gel colours and accessories between the kits. If you want glow in the dark beads simply use the glow in the dark gels from that kit and use them on the bead station. And if you run out of ideas you can just visit the Gel-a-Peel website for more templates! They also have a section for tips and tricks and video tutorials to get your started.
You can find Gel-a-Peel at Toys ‘R Us , Amazon, Chapters, and Mastermind Toys. And keep your eye on the blog because I’m going to be having a fabulous giveaway soon with Gel-a-Peel and some other awesome MGA Entertainment toys and activities!
