Fall 2017 Fashion Trends and Pro Trips from OxiClean

Fall 2017 Fashion Trends and Pro Trips from OxiClean

Summer is officially over. I do say that with some sadness. No more weekends at the lake. No more living in flip flops and shorts. No more heading off to work without a coat every morning. But the truth is I actually love fall fashion. Boots and layers and rich, bold colors. And boots – did I say that already? Yes I have a love affair with boots. I also love cozy sweaters and cable knit and  thick warm socks. I also just love the changing fashions of the seasons and always look forward to seeing what’s going to be hot. Let’s take a look at see what the fashion gurus are telling us are the hits this fall.

Florals

We generally associate floral prints with spring but this fall flowers are huge. Instead of light, cheery spring daisies think roses in deep, rich or light romantic colors popping against a black background. This is a fall trend I am absolutely loving.

Chokers

That’s right – chokers are back in style. But this time around they are little bit more sophisticated. Although you can still find simple fabric or those springy plastic ones (which my seven year old loves) the style now is multi choker sets in silvers and golds. Some of them are big and chunky and jewel encrusted or, if you prefer something more understated, you might opt for a multi chain set with a choker and then a longer necklace with a simple charm. But chokers aren’t just for jewelry anymore.  Tops and dresses with choker style collars are huge this season too.

Seeing red

Red’s and burgundies are the color hit of the season with Pantone’s Grenadine being one of the top 10 fall colours this year. Go bold and wear head to toe red, or pair it with classic black, greys or blue.

Pro tip:  To keep these colors looking like new and radiant all year long, use OxiClean Colour Shield Laundry Stain Remover. It protects colours and provides 50% more brightening power versus leading value detergent alone.

Kick it up a notch

Did I mention I love boots? Boots never go out of style but this year the two hot styles are tall, over the knee boots and booties with embroidered patterns or embellishments on them.

Check it out

Plaid, checks and tartan patterns are everywhere this season. Keep it simple with subtle checked pants or go all out with a bolder printed dress or suit.

Get cozy

Of course fall and sweats go hand in hand. This year casual is the trend. Oversized cashmere sweaters, or shorter boxy pullovers, especially in white, are what’s hot in sweaters this year. In fact a cozy, white sweater is a closet staple this fall.

Pro tip:  Keep whites looking white try OxiClean White Revive Laundry Satin Remover. It whitens 40$ better than chlorine bleach with powerful whitening and brightening agents that won’t damage colours.

Watch your tone

Head to toe tonal outfits is another hit this fall. Match various shades of the same colour and then add a contrasting accessory for a punch.

Strike a cord

Yep, corduroy is back. In a big way. So dig out those old pants, skirts and even corduroy jackets and get back in style. If you didn’t keep any from the good old days, save a few pennies and hit your local thrift store before everyone buys those old gems up!

Pro tip:  Revitalize old favourites with OxiClean Max Force Foam Laundry Pre-Treater. The powerful supercharged foam sticks to stains and works to blast them away. Its compact size also makes it easy for storage and it will become a must have for treating stains!

Fringe benefits

Fringes and feathers are another star this far. Look for skirts and scarves with fringed hems and jewelry pieces features feathers.

This year there are so many hot fall trends that it’s easy to find something you love. I know I love that the focus is on comfy, cozy styles in warm colours. I actually think I do have some cords packed away and I know for a fact that I have some fringed pieces I was never able to part with. Whatever styles hit the spot with you, keep them looking good with the help of OxiClean.
